KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 5 (Bernama) -- Cathay Pacific Airways has started flying to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, four times weekly through Dubai on the way to and from Hong Kong from Wednesday.
The airline now serves the kingdom with a total of 11 flights each week.
Its chief executive Tony Tyler said the service being operated by an Airbus A330-300 aircraft in a two-class configuration is expected to increase the airline's presence in the Middle Eastern market.
"This new service will help to connect business and leisure passengers to Cathay Pacific's extensive international network and also open up new opportunities for airfreight from the kingdom," he said in a statement Thursday.
